Born and raised in Vancouver, David articled at Lohn Caulder and earned his CA designation in 1998. After working as tax manager at PwC he was a founding partner of Goldsmith & Poulos in 2004. While possessing a wide variety of knowledge and experience across all areas of practice, David specializes in income tax planning for private corporations and individuals. An avid fly fisherman and squash player, David was given the opportunity to shoot from half court for $50k at the very first Vancouver Grizzlies game. He missed.
Born in Hong Kong, Kenneth’s family moved to Vancouver when he was 12 years old. After graduating from SFU, Kenneth joined Goldsmith & Poulos in July 2009 and received his CGA designation in 2011. Kenneth was promoted to Senior Tax Manager in 2017. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoys hiking with his wife and tireless dog. He and his wife also love to travel throughout Japan.
Michael grew up in Edmonton, Alberta until high school when his family moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of the varsity tennis team. Michael’s career goal is to be recognized as one of the leading US individual tax and cross-border accounting professionals in the Lower Mainland. In his spare time, Michael is huge fan of James Bond movies and continues to play a lot of tennis.
Growing up in Vancouver, Elsa has a Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and earned a UBC Diploma in Accounting. She articled at Goldsmith & Poulos LLP, starting in January 2015. A manager at Goldsmith Kwok, Elsa is a specialist in taxation. Elsa once competed in the Skills Canada National Competition for women’s apparel design. She’s also a big fan of dessert.
After earning her Bachelor of Business Administration from BCIT, Prab joined Goldsmith & Poulos LLP in 2013 and completed her CGA designation. When Prab is not keeping busy with her toddler, she enjoys travelling, photography and exploring local restaurants.
Dee grew up in Shanghai and moved to Vancouver in 2001. She attended Thompson River University and earned a BBA. Dee has her CPA and earned her CGA designation in 2017. In her spare time she loves travelling, hiking and trying new snacks.
Wilson grew up in Hong Kong, and moved to Vancouver in 2007. He attended Simon Fraser University and later the University of Saskatchewan, where he earned a masters degree. Wilson works hard to keep abreast of the changing tax regulations so he can provide the best possible tax planning recommendations for clients. In his spare time, Wilson enjoys shopping for shoes and gadgets. He also enjoys travelling to Japan for the food and culture.
Born in India and raised in Surrey, British Columbia, Arun earned his BBA from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Arun completed his CPA in 2021 and earned his designation in 2022. With his love of animals and nature, Arun loves hiking and being outdoors. He also enjoys spending his time gaming and watching binge-worthy shows.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Michael went to Magee Secondary and later attended Drexel University in Philadelphia on a squash scholarship. Currently working toward his CPA, in his spare time Michael enjoys travelling and is an avid squash player.
Daiki grew up in Japan and moved to Canada after his marriage in 2019. He attended Kobe University, where he earned recognition as the “Best Nine Baseball Player”. Daiki started his career in the investment industry. He is currently working towards completing his CFA Level 3 and his CPA designation. In his spare time, Daiki enjoys spending time with his wife and playing golf.
Kristen grew up in White Rock, BC and attended the University of British Columbia, where she earned a BSc in Biology and Psychology. She has also earned a diploma from BCIT in Human Resources. Kristen supports GoldsmithKwok in all things non-accounting. A runner and avid squash player, she grew up figure skating and was known for landing her double jumps. In her spare time, Kristen loves to go hiking with her family and Lucy Mae.
Albert grew up in Hong Kong and came to Vancouver at the age of 15. A graduate from the University of British Columbia, his goal is to master the day-to-day operational aspects of GoldsmithKwok. In his spare time, Albert enjoys playing tennis and badminton.
Born in April 2016, Lucy Mae is a fully grown dog that usually behaves more like a puppy. Quick to offer your face or hand a lick, she is also an enthusiastic foodie, in that she loves all food. In her spare time, Lucy Mae enjoys off leash hikes on the Baden Powell Trail and swimming (or laying and rolling) in any body of water. She was named after a Yaletown restaurant where her parents met on their first date. Technically, it was a blind date.
